Accounts Receivable & Accounting Specialist (Remote)

About the role

ModelKite is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable and Accounting Specialist to support its logistics operations. The role blends bookkeeping, invoicing, and collections while working remotely in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Log, review, and process invoices promptly and verify billing accuracy.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, including tracking, collections, payment follow‑ups, and reconciliation.
• Maintain financial records for CPA review, match transactions, and support ongoing bookkeeping.
• Use QuickBooks to record and maintain financial information and update shipment statuses in the TMS.
• Handle customer and vendor inquiries, investigate payment disputes, and provide general administrative accounting support.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or a related finance role.
• Experience in the transportation and logistics industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and professionalism handling confidential financial information.
