Banking Systems Monitoring Operator

About the role

We are seeking a Banking Systems Monitoring Operator to join our 24/7 Operations Support team in Skopje. You will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of critical banking applications, handling incidents, and collaborating with technical teams to keep production systems running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor banking applications, services, and processes in a 24/7 environment.
• Detect, classify, document, and escalate incidents promptly.
• Take ownership of L1 incidents, perform deeper diagnostics, and troubleshoot across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Support daily and monthly processing, resolve stalled batch jobs, and investigate database performance issues.
• Assist with card, payment, e‑banking, and mobile banking channels.
• Create and maintain runbooks, propose new monitoring checks, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to junior operators.

Required profile

• Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Stable internet connection and suitable conditions for remote work.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
• SQL proficiency with MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Scripting experience in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with application servers and messaging technologies such as IBM MQ or Kafka.
• Basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, VPN).
