Management Accountant - Record-to-Report

About the role

PXC, part of the TalkTalk Group, is the UK's leading value-for-money connectivity provider. Its Core Finance - Cost Management team runs the monthly close, reconciles the balance sheet, supports the external audit and works with Finance Business Partners to give management accurate, reliable data. This Management Accountant role sits in Core Finance, reports to the Finance Manager and is based in North Macedonia. It centres on the Record-to-Report process, covering month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation and accounting for fixed assets, CAPEX, assets under construction and leases.

Key responsibilities

• Run the monthly close for CAPEX, fixed assets, assets under construction and leases.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliation so every figure is supported and ready for audit.
• Work with UK Finance Business Partners on CAPEX reporting and analysis, and support ad hoc forecasting and budgeting requests.
• Deliver monthly reporting with variance analysis and commentary on what changed and why.
• Answer external audit requests and explain the accounting treatments behind balances.
• Improve processes, controls and reporting to make them faster and more accurate.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, preferably accounting.
• At least 3 years in management accounting, financial accounting or record-to-report.
• Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
• Hands-on experience with fixed assets, CAPEX or lease accounting (IFRS 16).
• Experience in a multinational company and partnering with Finance Business Partners.
• Fluent written and spoken English; comfort learning new finance systems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, able to build a full report from raw data.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Power BI, FloQast or Medius.
