Product Automation Engineer (Skopje)

About the role

We are looking for a Product Automation Engineer to join our Product Management & Design team in Skopje. You will design, develop and maintain internal web applications and automation tools that help fight cybercrime.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python/Django web applications.
• Implement new features and continuously improve existing tools in collaboration with product and business stakeholders.
• Build and maintain REST API integrations with internal and external systems.
• Automate repetitive processes and contribute to AI‑powered operational tools.
• Work with relational databases, automated testing, Docker and Docker Compose.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality and document technical processes.
• Manage tasks in Jira and support troubleshooting of existing applications.

Required profile

• Solid experience writing clean, maintainable, well‑tested Python code.
• Practical knowledge of Django (views, forms, templates, models, authentication).
• Good understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for server‑rendered web apps.
• Experience with REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication and error handling.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases; PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Comfortable with Git workflows, automated testing and debugging.
• Basic understanding of asynchronous processing and background workers.
• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose and Jira in an Agile environment.
