Senior Android Engineer

About the role

G&D Netcetera is looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a team that designs, implements, maintains and delivers Android applications for clients across various industries. The team works with agile development methodologies and the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the technical design and maintenance of Android applications
• Ensure application stability and performance
• Establish and follow high standards in software quality, testing and security
• Perform code reviews and track quality software metrics
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for testing and delivering applications

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience designing and implementing Android applications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Openness to working partially in other tech stacks, such as web frontend or backend development

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Java/Kotlin and the Android SDK stack
• Practical knowledge of various mobile architectures
• Good knowledge of HTTP and HTTP-based APIs (REST, OpenAPI)
• Good knowledge of persistent data storage
• Advantageous: Android architecture components and Jetpack, Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, mobile app security, app store handling, and AI-assisted development
