Accountant (m/w/d)

About the role

Gerresheimer is looking for an Accountant (m/w/d) in Skopje, North Macedonia, working full time. The role covers independent responsibility for the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements of the company, statutory and tax reporting, and cooperation with internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements independently, and take over special tasks during conversion according to local accounting principles and IFRS.
• Take part in special topics such as projects and in process optimisation.
• Handle group reporting and statutory reporting, including submission of statutory accounts.
• Manage overall tax reporting (VAT, corporate income tax, personal income tax).
• Establish, optimise and continuously improve internal processes and controls, and coordinate internal and external audit.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of commercial training in a comparable function (e.g. industrial clerk or tax clerk) and at least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Very good knowledge of local accounting principles and IFRS.
• English at B2 level (spoken and written).
• Numerical aptitude, careful and conscientious work, good communication, independence, resilience, entrepreneurial thinking and analytical competence.

Required skills

• ERP and IT systems such as SAP FI.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.
• Basic knowledge of project management.
