Internal Finance Associate

About the role

EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, is hiring an Associate for its Internal Finance Department in North Macedonia. As an accountant, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Finance and Accounting Department and its internal clients, with a precise, responsible and client-oriented approach, active teamwork and flexibility regarding workload.

Key responsibilities

• General ledger accounting on a stand-alone basis: book daily cash movements, invoices, expense accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions, and reconcile financial data
• Prepare client billing invoices in the system according to instructions from engagement managers and follow e-billing procedures
• Record and post purchase invoices in the system
• Monitor employee expense reimbursements and process related accounting entries based on supporting documentation
• Prepare payment orders through the electronic banking platform and maintain bank documentation
• Coordinate the physical submission and collection of documents with banks, tax authorities and other governmental institutions
• Compile supporting documentation such as invoice copies, payment confirmations and financial schedules for double taxation treaty relief applications for foreign vendor payments
• Provide ongoing operational and administrative support to the Finance Department, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of client-related tasks, and perform statistical reporting

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Excellent communication skills in English and Macedonian
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong analytical thinking and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and improve professional knowledge and performance

Required skills

• Computer skills (MS Office; Excel) at an advanced level
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills
