Head of Finance

About the role

House of Trucking (HOT), a full-stack operations partner supporting fleet operations for motor carriers across the USA, is looking for a Head of Finance to lead its finance function. The role covers accounting, billing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and overall financial operations. It is a full-time, on-site position in Skopje, working 10:00 to 18:00.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company's finance and accounting operations.
• Manage accounting and billing processes for both Macedonian and U.S. operations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, reconciliations and cash flow.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and financial analysis.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Macedonian and U.S. accounting and financial requirements.
• Work with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Manage relationships with accountants, auditors, banks, tax advisors and other external financial partners.
• Establish internal financial controls, identify financial risks and improve finance processes and reporting systems.
• Support business growth through financial modelling and strategic planning, and lead, manage and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Mandatory proven experience working for an international company.
• Strong hands-on experience in accounting and billing, including Macedonian accounting and billing practices.
• Experience managing financial operations across multiple countries, currencies and jurisdictions.
• Previous experience in a senior finance, accounting or financial management position.
• Experience working with international clients, management, vendors or business partners.
• Strong English; candidates without international accounting and billing experience will not be considered.
