Azure Lead Technical Architect

About the role

HSO is looking for an experienced technical leader to shape and evolve its Monitoring & Observability service for Dynamics 365, Power Platform, AI agents, Azure, and hybrid environments. The role will define technical direction, translate strategy into scalable designs, and improve onboarding, automation, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Service Owner to define technical strategy, roadmap, priorities, risks, and investment options.
• Set architecture, engineering, observability, alerting, dashboard, telemetry, and service‑health standards as the senior technical authority.
• Lead the evolution of monitoring capabilities across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, AI agents, Azure Monitor, and hybrid environments.
• Drive automation, reusable components, infrastructure‑as‑code, self‑service, self‑healing, and efficient DevOps practices.
• Identify cost drivers, prioritize scalability improvements, and assess technologies based on value, effort, and total cost of ownership.

Required profile

• Strong Azure architecture and engineering experience in enterprise‑scale and hybrid environments, including networking, security, governance, and resilience.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Managed Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proven ability to design and operate enterprise monitoring and observability solutions, including APM, distributed telemetry, and root‑cause analysis.
• Experience automating with PowerShell, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable IaC tools.
• Technical leadership in managed services or similarly complex environments, with knowledge of ITIL‑based processes.
