Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting for Cylindo across its entities in Denmark, Macedonia, the UK and the US. Reporting to the CEO, this role ensures accurate records, timely month‑end close, regulatory compliance and strong financial controls in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end close process, maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly reporting packs.
• Review and post journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, payroll, revenue and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure subscription revenue and deferred revenue are recorded in line with accounting standards and reconcile ARR/MRR reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor aged receivables and manage vendor payments.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany recharges, handle multi‑currency accounting and foreign‑exchange adjustments.
• Manage VAT, payroll tax and statutory filings across all jurisdictions and coordinate audit processes.
• Maintain internal controls, documentation and drive process automation.
• Lead a team of accountants and the Accounts Receivable Specialist, providing guidance to non‑finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or subscription‑based, multi‑entity international environment.
• Strong understanding of core accounting principles and ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
